1. Explain what was meant by, "In truth, networks and affiliates need each other.” (p. 192) What factors tie affiliates to ABC, CBS, FOX, or NBC? What factors press them apart? Are all affiliates affected equally? How are station rank and market rank factors in their relationship? What are key elements in an affiliation agreement?
2. What strategies are recommended in the chapter for the early-fringe daypart? for prime access? What are the usual HUT level in these dayparts? How does a station choose which strategy to follow?
3.What are the main liabilities of local programming?
