I'm an Associate Professor in the Department of Telecommunications at Indiana University.
My research explores the cognitive processing of media messages--with a particular focus on the impact of audio features on cognition and emotional response. I am also the Director of the Institute for Communication Research.
Over a decade of experience in the radio industry informs my undergraduate teaching in the department's Industry & Management sequence. My graduate teaching focuses on cognitive theories applied to media processing and research methods used to test them.
